Letters

Over the last several days, Dave and I have been writing letters, addressing envelopes, and purchasing a large amount of stamps. All of which feels a little strange in this digital age. Most of our communication is done via text or Facebook, which I love for its speed, but which can be a bit impersonal at times. I found I really enjoyed the process of addressing and stamping each envelope. I prayed for each recipient as I filled out their name, and hoped they would rejoice with us when they read the contents of their letter.

On July 15, 2019, Dave and I were voted in by the board of trustees at Camp Barakel to become full-time Resident Missionary Staff Appointees. We are so excited to begin this new chapter of our lives! We know this is the direction where God has been leading us for several years now. We love Camp Barakel, and are eager to join in their ministry. Our role at Barakel will be to manage the East Side kitchen. Menu planning, cooking, training volunteer staff, and mentoring young adults will be a few of our responsibilities. Our goal is to be fully supported financially by next summer, so we can begin the summer camping season at Camp Barakel. We are believing Philippians 4:19 “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

If you would like more information, please call, text, or send us an email. We are more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Please pray for us as we begin this journey!
